The Diploma of Visual Arts is designed to provide you with an opportunity to explore employment pathways in the Visual Arts industry, by enabling you to select your areas of interest such as: Computer Imaging, Photography, Multimedia, Painting, Drawing and Ceramics.

This course is designed to provide an opportunity to explore employment pathways in the visual arts industry at several entry points including in-house productions for medium to large corporations, training and educational applications and freelance/studio based small businesses. Some sectors of the industry tend to seek employees that have a good grounding in visual arts production techniques as well as substantial skills in a particular development area.

The Visual Arts course consisits of two years, the first being the Certficate IV in Visual Arts, and the second year is the Diploma of Visual Arts.  Student can choose to study just one year and receive the Certificate IV, or do both years to receive the Diploma.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

The completion of Year 10 (15 years) or equivalent and a folio.  Minimum requirement for folio exemption: Completion of Visual Arts Cert II or equivalent OR Secondary Art - High Achievement.
