The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment Course is designed for both people who are working as workplace trainers and assessors and also those who plan to move into the training and assessing field. This course is delivered via blended learning, which is a combination of in class and self paced study. The course involves two blocks of five days of classroom delivery with a 4 to 6 week period between the two blocks. We also offer Blended Distance Based Program which is a six month program.
Venue locations: Sydney (Chatswood) and Melbourne (Prahran) PLUS Distance learning.

About This Training Course
The new TAA40104 course replaced the former Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training BSZ40198 course in November 2005. It is the qualification for anyone wishing to commence or progress a career in Training and Assessment at work, in a College, Training Company, Registered Training Organisation (RTO) or as a Training & Assessment contractor.
This course takes you through a clear process of steps and practical exercises to understand and implement competency based training and assessment - the benchmark system today.
The Certificate IV in Training and Assessment course is a significant qualification. It involves dedication, time and guidance. In the Southern Cross Training program students will feel secure, confident and supported throughout their learning experience.
This course is delivered via blended learning, which is a combination of in class and self paced study. There are two blocks of five days with a 4 to 6 week period between the two blocks. Outside of the 10 days, students are required to complete projects and assessment tasks. The blended learning course involves approximately 275 hours of a combination of in-class and self paced learning.
The student fee includes all Training Manuals, CD with Templates, plus e -mail mentoring and support from your Trainer while you undertake your self -paced assessment tasks. There are no hidden costs.
The program runs for a 3 month period including two five day blocks in class.

Training Course Outcomes
On successful completion of this course, students will be qualified to gain employment as a trainer and assessor in their chosen industry throughout Australia.
Prerequisites
The TAA40104 is suitable for people who are new to training as well as those with extensive experience. Students must be over 18 years of age. This qualification requires good language, literacy and computing skills and access to a computer. Projects are undertaken as part of completing the qualification, and a workplace or practice environment is needed.
