Course overview

This course is suitable for individuals to gain confidence to work safely, understand safety signs, knowledge of first aid and requirements, personal protective equipment and safe operating systems and equipment.

Prerequisites

Proof of identity: WorkCover requires that you produce proof of identity at the course, in order for you to be awarded a Construction Induction card. If you do not produce these at the course, you will not be awarded the white card. Please enquire for more information.

Course Content

This course includes but is not limited to:

·          Safety Signs

·          Knowledge of First aid and requirements

·          Personal Protective equipment

·         Safe operating systems and equipment

Assessment Criteria

Throughout the course participants must demonstrate competency during a series of practical skills evaluation and written assessments, which include the following:
1. Questioning
2. Written tests
3. Scenario-problem solving
4. Attendance at all lessons

Awards Issued

Statement of one-month duration of attendance followed by a plastic card issued direct from WorkCover allowing immediate access onto construction sites for employment.

WorkCover accredited training. WorkCover accredited independent trainers contract this course.
