Training Program Information

This program is designed for firsttime and new computer users who want to learn how to understand and operate basic computer technology. Throughout this program students will learn all they need to know to confidently and skilfully a computer and use the widely used Windows Microsoft Office software package and increase their computer skills. As a complete Microsoft Office training package, this program introduces students to basic operations procedures and terminology to use Word, Excel, Email and the Internet.

Throughout this program students will develop basic skills in the Windows software program Microsoft Excel. Students will learn about the Excel screen, worksheet development, formulas, formatting, page setup and printing, multiple sheets and file management. Students will learn how to use Excel’s many features to increase their productivity and computer literacy.

While in this program, students will also learn how to use the software program Microsoft Word, including how to create, edit and format simple documents, use headers and footers and utilise the help feature. Students will lean how to use the many features of Microsoft Word so they can competently and confidently create professional Word documents.

Students will learn how to use the Internet and email software program Outlook, as well as how to employ correct posture and take into account ergonomic and occupational health and safety guidelines when working with computers.
