I’ve earmarked a few topics that have been raised in recent media such as the Productivity Places Program for job seekers, a federal initiative which has a following of irate RTO’s that had the funding tap turned to a slow drip and then took their grievances to the Financial Review.

Any provider that sees themselves purely as a Government funded organisation is setting themselves up for failure, but more on that later.

We should also discuss the states and their role in the VET sector. The states hold all the power in VET, you can have the best of intentions to implement a training package or a national training program and without too much effort they can shoot it down and bury it in bureaucracy.
